I am investing in some rock pegs, what length would you go for 8" or 10"?

Hello cbfc.
            The ones I bought are the 23cm ones.
I use them for either tent, and so far they've held fast in soft and hard ground.

Last month, one of them held too 'fast' for me to pull out.
I tried the 'water trick' but to no avail. In the end, I had to dig it out.

I bought my 'Ground Hogs' from Halfords. 3.99 GBP for a pack of 8. In total, I have bought 4 packs.

The choice is up to you.

I know this has been posted before, but a good quality claw hammer, should  manage to get them out. I always have a claw hammer in my tent equipment, they also work well on Delta pegs, as they give the correct angle of pull to remove them.

Remember that when putting them in the longer they are the more effort needed to put them in, and some of the hard standings that I have been on just getting pegs in takes an awful lot of effort with my persuader ( 2lb lump hammer ).

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

We have both 7 and 10 inch rock pegs as hardstandings vary greatly. The short ones were useless at Broadlands CC, the long ones were brilliant. At Old Oaks, Somerset the long ones took far too much effort to bang in and take out, the short ones were perfect ! All depends on the compactness of the hardstanding ! Needless to say we use a lump hammer and a peg extractor !

Personally I'd go for the longer ones and take a club hammer as previously mentioned... better to be safe than sorry!
