pyramid toaster - say no more
plastic egg box (why i bought it in the first place i have no idea) - cracked 4 eggs as soon as i shut the lid
foldup picnic table - after wanting one for 12 months bought one on offer in argos for £15 and was well chuffed, but after being extremely uncomfortable on it last week i don't think we'll be giving it car space again.
------------- Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways --- champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other --- screaming... WOOHOO, WHAT A RIDE!"

already looking for a foldable one. any suggestions of a good one?
Splashed out and bought an Outwell one this year - idiot proof and very stable. I was so impressed that when we came back I ordered the taller one (on sale at Taunton camping).

I wish I hadn't bought a self-inflating foam-filled sleeping mat. It turned out to be more uncomfortable than the pair of thin mats I was using and so it's hardly been out of its bag.
In fact, all the things I regret buying have been associated with sleep. Cheap sleeping bags, a 'LiLo' style airbed, a self-inflating pillow - all failed to live up to expectations.
The item I least regret buying was the LED head-torch I got dirt cheap in Asda - it has proved invaluable and so much more practical than a hand-held torch.

Wedding rings. (any make) I've bought THREE, and none of them have ever worked correctly !!
The current model, Doesn't cook properly, leaks, and makes a lot of noise when windy. To name just a few faults.
EDIT I suppose It could be me, not reading or undertsanding the instructions they came with.

Rechargeable lantern with remote control. The idea being that as you stumbled back to your tent, you could switch it on as you approached the tent thus enabling you to see your way in. It worked beautifully apart from one major flaw - it didn't work in the dark! No problems during the day - worked from about 50 meters away but in the dark? absolutely nothing doing!
We've got two of those - a Gelert fluorescent and an LED one - and they both work really well. At Three Cliffs Bay, we were camped right at the top of the field and could turn on the lamp in the tent as soon as we were through the gate at the bottom.
Brilliant on a dark and cloudy night.
