No experience of the Royal I'm afraid.

I have the Fiamma Bi Pot which is fabulous. I also have a Thetford Porta Potti but I personally prefer the Fiamma.
Very easy to use, very stable, a doddle to empty and clean. Never had any problems with nasty smells and ours gets used for everything (some people only use their porta loos for wee)

We never go camping without it!

Thanks for starting this post as I've been looking at a Royal toilet as well & wondered the same thing as I was between the Royal & good old Thetford.

At least now I don't have any fears of either!

Thanks everyone

There are 2 Royal toilets, one is their own and the other is a rebranded Thetford.

The man in our local shop recommended the rebranded one.

We haven't used it yet!!

just bought a new one from Lidl Supermarkets. ITs a Tethford and its very good to use. Its steady (i weigh 140kgs) and its very easy to use. Just add the water and 2 types of fluids (for flush and for the sh*t). Then just empty it and clean with fresh water.

i recommend. better than looking for a place to sh*t
