You could spend all your time waiting for that "killer deal" that will come along one day, but we all want to go camping as well.
Being in the market for a smaller tent this year I have watched prices probably closer than I ever have or normally would.
I'd say that on reflection now is probably a better time to buy a tent than say spring when the new models hit the retailers. This will probably continue into "end of season" specials and the like. However, we want to camp! Sod's law says whatever deal you get, there will be one along to beat it shortly after.
One thing is clear, don't just dive in at the start of the season when the new models first go on sale, wait a bit for the price wars to start (weekend deals and the like). If I'd paid the "going rate" of £240 ish for the Nevada M I'd be gutted now.
