Hi Folks. Can anyone give me some feedback on the Argos Rechargeable 30 LED Lantern
The reviews on the Argos site are very good, but particularly interested to find out how long it takes to recharge off a leisure battery and the energy it will consume in the process.

If it takes nearly an amp per hour over 12hours to fully re-charge, then it will defeat the object of what i'm trying to achieve.

Don't know about that one, but the Lidl/Aldi 48 LED one doesn't take long to charge up from a leisure battery. Why not just plug it in when you are driving around?

You should have the cigarette lead too, may be in the bottom of the lamp somewhere.

Hi G4fne

I bought one of these on our last camp in Wales about 7 weeks ago. I charged it for about 30 minutes in the car as we drove back to the camp site and that was it. I then used it in the porch kitchen for two nights, and since we came home, I have used it on numerous occasions, and it is still going strong on the same charge - great lamp me thinks .....not a bad light either.
I don't think you will be disappointed with the lamp, but the car charger is the way to go.

Tracey

Hello,

I dont have the argos one but I do have the Rolson Rechargeable lantern with remote control....and I need help:

We have tried charging the lantern for hours but as soon as we use the remote control to turn it off, the charge seems to drain really quickly.

Does anyone else use a rechargeable with remote control - do you have the samee problem or could mine be faulty????
