We were looking for camping pillows at the start of this year, we did consider inflatable ones but I was pretty sure they'd just give me a headache - I like soft pillows! So we got the Hi Gear flannel covered mini pillows from GO instead - they've been used all year and they're great, pack down tiny and really nice to sleep on.
------------- April/May - Georgia destroyed in high winds sob
May - Loch Ken, 1st outing for the wolf lake
July - Waterside House, Lake District
July - Inside Park, Dorset
It doesn't work with non-feather as they don't compress well at all. If you get the extra large one you can (with a bit of effort) get a double feather duvet in as well.
Probably a bit of a neanderthal but i take my sleeping bag out of the stuff sack then roll up my coat and put it in ther stuff sack, makes a great pillow

Same here - just some items of clothing in a compression sack.
I don't like inflatable pilloews and resent the packing space household pillows take up, so for lightweight camping we use the small soft half sized camping pillows. They fit nicely in the hood of a sleeping bag and when I'm packing them I just stuff one inside each sleeping bag stuffsac, so they practically disappear.
We use 2 Vango moon pillows each in a pillowcase - compact and small for packing, washable and comfortable and also fit within the hood of a mummy sleeping bag so don't disappear off the end of the bed during the night. Need the 2 though. We stuff them all along with fleecy liners, fleecy mattress covers and sleeping bags for 3 in one large dry bag - easy to load and unload and stays nice a dry.
All the so-called camping pillows we have tried have been rubbish, get down to M&S get the "2for£5" hollowfibre pillows and use with a protector slip and packin a VAC/roll bag.
We take the medium size thermarest pillows, they are really comfy and pack up small. They wash really well too. We have sleeping bags with hoods and just tuck the pillows in, either on top or underneath.
