A trick I learned many years ago, still applies today.
It does not involve dangerous, or costly, practices.
It does involve 'forward planning'.
Put simply, it is 'Layering'.
Before the daylight fades, and dinner is served, undress, wash, put on a thermal base layer, then outer clothing.
Hot food, hot drink, then after dinner walk, wearing jacket, hat, gloves etc as top layer.
Nicely warmed up inside and out, ready to retire leaving base layer on.
We're not the only ones employing this method surely?
Each to their own.
Kind regards James
------------- In the beginning there was darkness.
Then I bought a tent.
I'm not destitute, I'm just poor.

Exactly right add extra layers before you get cold, as soon as the sun starts setting.
We always have to walk the dogs before bed, so warms you up and relaxs too.
