Hi all, first post on here, although I have been lurking for a while. I'm going up to the Lakes tomorrow and its the first outing for my new kit, new tent, new cooker, propane bottle, hose and regulator etc. Just checking my stuff before loading up for a(very) early start tomorrow and I realise I am short one gas spanner! Don't have anything in my toolbox to fit, so will have to get one tomorrow.

So my question is, does anyone know where I could get one in or near Keswick?

Buy an adjustable spanner and use it for other jobs too.

Keswick is full of camping shops and surrounded by camp sites, you should have no problems getting a spanner.

Yes, adjustable spanner, mole grips, stillson wrench etc.

If you find your chosen location listed on Camp Site Search, click on See Map and you will find not only the position of the site, but spanner symbols indicating local Halfords branches.

as PP says plenty of shops in Keswick itself, practically every second shop is a camping / outdoor store, and not too badly priced either.

Being a single women i didnt have a spanner either so i borrowed an adjustable spanner from a friend easy to use and oooops just reminded me i havnt given it back to him yet
