I wonder if anyone has any suggestions for re-proofing the roof area of a large tent? I will be using liquid Fabsil and I guess the best way is to have the brush on a long stick??

Anyone tried spraying the liquid fabsil??

Why would you need to re-proof a Outwell Norfolk Lake as it's not canvas?

Modern tent fabrics shouldn't need re-proofing, I might be wrong

no you are right if it is a synthetic tent you should not need to reproof untill the tent is near the end of its life and even then not sure it's worth doing.anyway if you do go ahead one of those garden sprayers are great for the job just do it on a still day and go for a couple of light coats as this is better than one heavey.

I think you can get fabsil in a spray can? If not why not transfer it into one of those kitchen de-greaser/work surface cleaner spray bottles and do it that way? Fine mist spray will settle onto a large area and spills will only add to the cavas/cotton area anyway. Hope this helps?

Well the job is complete, using a bush and also spraying on with a Mr Muscle glass cleaner spray bottle. The Fabsil worked well through the hand held spray for those interested for future.

Really after 3 years???   I'd imagine that's a scary prospect for many Outwell Lake owners.

Can you describe what was happening to it and what was wrong with it?   I'd be pretty hacked off in your position...

When we go away it's for a month at a time so don't feel that the re-treatment is unreasonable. We noticed this year that during heavy rain, a very fine mist was visible through the roof, so decided to re-treat when we got home.
