What is a good heater to use when camping in a tent?

 

preferably one without EHU

We use the 'Outwell M' fan heater.  We bought it last year in the Yeomans sale.  It has a thermostatic control, oscillates and has automatic cut out if knocked over.  You can but similar heaters in argos that do the same job and much cheaper though

Yes we use the Outwell fan heater, it really is a good bit of kit. We also have a small gas heater they can be bought cheap from any number of places. The only downside is that the gas needs plenty of ventilation so as not to give off carbon monoxide fumes, which defeats the object I suppose.

I use a paraffin heater in my awning, you need to keep the door open for ventilation but it extends the evenings a little when they are getting short.

Without EHU? Hmmmm, let me think.......Oh I know, theres this fantastic thing out on the market at the mo, not many people seem to know about it but I've seen plenty in the shops, they're really cheap and come in different sizes and colours..............it's called...wait for it........A JUMPER!!!!

My wife and I use a system. It's called "Layering"

About 1 hour before sunset, we wash and put on a base layer (e.g. thermals) then outer wear, and jacket or 'A JUMPER'

Hot food and drink for dinner, followed by a brisk walk as a final warm up before retiring.

But! This suits us, as we don't use EHU's.

Maybe what you didn't wish to have as an answer, but extra heat will more than likely increase condensation.
