Its an auction which means you bid not wait until after the event to try and pay what you would have bid on it anyway.

I have noticed that Ebay seem to have changed the format a little bit lately, if you are keeping check on an item in your 'watch' list and it ends, when you click on item details it just says 'item has ended' or 'bidding has finished for this item' , without actually stating if the item sold or not.

I have been watching several items lately that have finished, and it is not clear if they sold to someone or if the auction just ended??

That happened to Mrs Z just recently. She's never had it before, also she was down for email notification if she was outbid but none came or she might've increased hers & got it. She was well pi$$ed off !

Eileenhoops I don't think the seller was a numpty either sorry ! If someone wants to get the best possible price it's more likely to get it through going to auction again - obviously he knew you wanted it, but were just trying it on !  Hard luck eh ?

Be carefull the seller could report you for trying to buy outside of Ebay,they have also got your emails to prove this.

If the seller wanted £30.00 for the item which seems a good price why is he a numpty for not selling it for £25.00 and whats it got to do with Ebay

I always ignore offers unless i have asked for them,you should have just bid £30.00 and stuck to your price.It sounds like you would have one the item anyway

I have the aldi units as reccomended on here last year,while i do the carpet and beds etc, Hubby puts the cupboards up. So trust me they can't be time consuming or difficult as my Hubby is my very own Mr.Bean

They also have handy storage pockets down the side.We also take out 1 of the shelves and pop it on top,best of both worlds.
