Just got back from a lovely weekend in Anglesey! We did manage to break the bucket on the khazi by plnking it on the ground with the gas bottle inside it when unpacking (duh!). The bottom of the bucket is now cracked. Does anyone know if you can get a replacement bucket? Or, has anyone tried any other successful solutions - or is it going to be case of replacing the whole khazi?
oooer that's a toughie. It's such a peculiar little bucket I think you'd be hard pushed to get a replacement. You could always contact the manufacturer I guess?

Or you could line the bucket with sturdy black bin liners and use kitty litter to absorb the liquid.
We do this, and providing you use plenty of litter and strong bags, it will not leak. It is a lot easer to dispose of, and easier to keep clean / smelling fresh.
Thanks folks! You are always full of bright ideas lol!!! I will get in touch with kampa on the off chance, but will give the sealant a whirl and also use in conjunction with bin liners and cat litter. How much cat litter do you need to add to the bags? (my hubbie will think I have totally lost the plot buying cat litter ).

My 4 year old thought we were getting a cat!
The amount depends on type - some are more absorbent than others, and also how much beer consumed by DH!
1 small bag from Coop lasted 5 nights - before emptying, add extra litter if liquids visable
Bear in mind that the cat litter route means you are putting a bag full of litter into a landfill, when the contents could go down the toilet. Its personal whether that bothers you or not, I'm a bit of a tree hugger (my childrens phrase, lol) and like to reduce reuse recycle where I can. Using biogradable stuff doesn't really help, it doesn't break down under landfill conditions.
No critism implied, but it is worth a mention I think.
Oh, and I'd try Kampa, I doubt you're the first to break the bucket!
We use recycled paper pellets for kittymus here called Yesterdays news, fab stuff, can hold a lot of wet as it expands but only with warm fluids like wee.
