Can anyone suggest a good electric light for camping. Nothing overly bright, but since we have bought an EHU it seems daft to struggle on with battery lamps.
We got one of these from Ikea, only £2.59 and the base fits into the shade so doesn't take up too much room. Gives a really nice warm light, with an eco bulb. I had really wanted one of the Outwell ones to hang from the ceiling of the tent but they are not cheap!

July - Waterside House, Lake District
July - Inside Park, Dorset
Go outdoors do some strip led lighting that can be plugged into mains or 12v sockets. We have one and it is very good. We hang in the awning but it is lightweight and could hang in a tent too
We went for something similar (a Kampa one) and it's done the job well. It hangs nicely from the cieling using the hook on the tent's light loop, and then feeding the wire along the cable tidies. It doesn't get hot, and the light from it is good - a nice, warm brightness that isn't too harsh.
For piece of mind it has a level of damp protection as well.

We have the Outwell Tauri light which is lovely!
That one is really nice - very snazzy!!!
One question though - the hooks in our tent are at the edges of the tent, so hanging that light would mean it touches the side, so would it be safe? or does it get hot on the side of the shade??
