Apologies if i'm in the wrong section, but hope somebody can help. I've just bought a second hand calor heater. It seems to be in excellent condition as is the regulator and bottle, and lights fine. However, When I turn the heater control knob to the 'O' (off) position the fire remains alight. To extinguish the flame off I have to turn it off at the regulator. Is this normal?
If I remember, they do take a little while to run out of the gas in pipework and then splutter to out.........but I always used to turn off the lever tap anyway - just to be on the safe side
I've got one of these type for the garage, bought from new and I've always had to turn it off by the regulator. Seem to remember the instructions mentioning it.
