thought this was a good bargain in aldi

but wondered why (if not) those with ehu dont use them

? would it work off standard ehu

no changing/carrying gas canisters/bottles

easy to keep clean

certainly wont blow out when trying to cook my egg/bacon on a windy morning!!

any thoughts from you wise ones on here?

I bought a hotplate this summer for cooking in the awning. Trying to reduce the amount of steam and smells in the van. Make sure it's on a sturdy surface (that won't melt) as they do get hot all around the base.

I wish I had bought one sooner.

HEY - DO I NEED THE SPECIAL PANS? I HAVE THE GELERT CAMPING ONES?

no special pans needed for that type of hob only the induction type and please stop shouting as i have a head ache.

The 2 rings are in total 2500W so that would mean at least 12A of electricity on campsites to cope with that amount of wattage without tripping the EHU

Electric rings are also alot slower than gas / petrol so for us, another reason not to have one.

Plus EHU  limits the choice of pitch/site so for us. Coleman duelfuel is our preference.... fast, efficient, economical and can be used on every site :)
