We use a Sky system, dish with LNB from car boot £5, box, from car boot, £2, cable, car boot, £3, mast, converted rotary washing line, free, the line had rotted and we had bought a new one to use for drying clothes, connectors 60p each, signal meter £15, compass, £7, thats it, we have a Sky system for under £40! Does not run on 12 volt though, but we only go on sites with EHU anyway!

Just remember, if it is older than yours, smaller than yours but next to yours, there is probably no credit owing on it...

I have to agree with arkangel5 - the "Easyfind" LNB system is very easy to set up. I also use a disco speaker stand for mounting the dish as can be seen in my profile pics. I added some aluminium extensions to the speaker stand legs to allow it to be nailed down with rock pegs. I bought a Comag HD freesat box and a HD TV that both run off 12V or mains. The only problem with the Comag is that the channel menu is a bit fiddly, especially if you are used to the Sky set up.
