Am just connecting the hose to my Camping Gaz Camping Chef. I've already done what's been said on earlier posts by soaking the house end in hot water for a few minutes. I got the regulator on fully, however I can only seem to get the hose on the stove connector about halfway/2/3rds up. Is this enough if I secure it with a jubilee clip?
put the hose on as far as you can and put the jubilee clip on turn the gas on and spray the connection with soapy water that will tell you if you have a leak if bubbles appear either the hose needs to be pushed on more or the clip needs to be tighter
If you still can't push it all the way on try coating the connector in a small amount of washing up liquid, this will eventually dry out. Hot water should work though, I use a cup of boiling water and just dip the hose in for 10-20 seconds and it works just fine.
The stove connectors are often tapered to allow the use of different size hoses. If you have softened the hose & pushed it on far enough to secure with jubilee clip it will be ok.
