Just collected a fantastic retro Hago kitchen - been looking for one for about 2 years and finally foud one! Its never been used - full kitchen unit plus the extension shelves all still in original boxes (though tatty!!) but I just wondered if anyone had the instructions that go with it - not that I need them as it's simplicity itself to set up but I'm just a bit anal about things like that (and I also want to see what else was manufactured at the time as extras!!). I know several people on here have the old Hago units.

If you do happen to have a copy and would scan and email it to me I would be forever grateful!

Thanks so much in anticipation

Congratulations on your new / old purchase!

I don't have instructions either and almost threw out our inherited stand as I couldn't work out how it went up abd was convinced somethinge essential was missing. But, I persevered and I'm very glad I did. It's great. Really solid and also made a good disposable barbeque stand. Our has a rust/cream colourway to the windshield, circa 1980 I think.

If you have the same kind I have, then this is what you do: if thelegs have a m-shaped structure with hinges at each end of the m, with the middle section having a little 'lip'to it.Put the grid non-leg side down, open up the M leg on one side and push/pull the middle lipped-bit inwards - it won't go far - and hook it over the grid to hold. Beware of your finger nails. Repeat at the other end. Now turn the 'table' the right way up with the legs going down and splayed out a little. Repeat with the next shelf - only this time, as you put it on top of the first one, locate the little lugs on the struts/legs into the holes on the retaining edge of the first shelf. Repeat for next shelf, and after three layers, put on windshield.I don't have an extension section sadly.

There may be other versions. I don't have any photos

I was hoping someone might have the leaflet saying what other bits and bobs you could get when it was manufactured.

ooo almost the same as ours, although ours only has one tier extension on the side. I love it. Very stable and easy to use. I made a nice fabric bag to pack it all in because the box was knackered.

Hi Anne,

Now I did have such a leaflet when I got mine early last year, Im sure rather than instructions it was a black & white sheet with all the optional extras - it came with the likewise very tatty boxes.  I'll see if I can find it although my brutal OH may have binned it even though I told him not to.

Thanks all for the replies - yes Fiona - the person I got it from said there had been a leaflet with more details and as I'm a compulsive collector I was just wondering what else went with it  (after all, I need something to loo for on Ebay over the winter!)

If you do find it I'd love a copy (and if you don't, tell that dh of yours that you told him it would be needed one day  )

Oooh, that looks really good (and is different to ours). What a fab bargain - well worth the two-year search !

I had one of these a few years back but ebayed it (much to my regret!) Mine had the same set up as yours, except it had a 'formica' table top on the top shelf to the right of the cooker stand and one small (half-width) shelf which could fit either side, for the gas bottle to stand on.

I'd rather be camping

Hi Anne,

Got both the instructions and the extras sheet - did I mention how good my OH is about these things ahem!!  email me with your address and I'll pop a copy in the post.  I'd normally have a go at doing a pdf but I don't think they would come up very well
