I kicked myself last month for not purchasing gas cans with Propane when I had the opportunity.
As a result, whilst tenting in temperatures down to plus 4 degrees C, the Butane cans (despite being full) had low pressure, therefore took longer to heat water and food.
An old trick I learned many years ago, was to 'stick it up yer jumper' so to speak.
Warming the gas can with body heat does (for a while) produce normal pressure.
I didn't do this on this occasion, to prove point to my wife.
I did later though.
Fortunately, I managed to find some Propane/Butane mix ones recently.
There are some Internet Retailers claiming to supply the dual gas cans, but in fact supply the Butane only ones.
Now all I have to do, is persuade my wife I need to check them out during this winter.
Regards James
------------- In the beginning there was darkness.
Then I bought a tent.
I'm not destitute, I'm just poor.
