Hi,
OK have a question and need some advice. Just bought a tent (Montana 6 Brand new) and a few other bits(second hand eBay) but need to get some thing to sleep on. Thought this would be easy but Oh no, a million choices again. So am faced with SIM's, air beds or camp beds ( we have two already but am worried about the legs on the ground sheet). I have read several topics and guess it's personal choice at the end of the day but I would still like some advice, best value for money makes of SIM's and Air beds. I know you guys can help so please help me out thanks
SIMs don't punture as easy as air beds, are much quicker/easier to set up & I like a firm bed, so SIM is my choice. As for which one, if you wait to until spring, the supermarkets have the cheapest ones. I have a Gelert double which is ok.
The size of our bedroom pods and the number of people sleeping in them will probably dictate your choice. Single mats are usually 50-60cm wide, single airbeds are about 75cm and camp beds are about 70cm wide.
And to confuse you some more one of the comfiest combo's reported on this forum are the campbed plus SIM. If you get SIM's then you can try that out since you have the campbeds. As for worrying about the legs, just put a picnic blanket under the legs, if you're really worried get some coasters from the pub and put under each foot.
