I am looking for a new self inflating mat as I am going to pass my Eurohike XL 7cm thick sim onto my son. My dodgy back means warmth and thickness are paramount in the selection of the mat...

I am presently trying to decide between a Gelert 10cm Exedition XL or a Alpkit Dozer. The Gelert sounds attractive at 10cm thick and the Dozer should be good based on the reviews of the Fat Airic that it replaced......decisions decisions....

From the Alpkit website the Dozer actually looks the thickness that its meant to be whearas I would guess that the Gelert may not be a full 10cm thick?? (based on my experience of other SIMs) though I'm sure its still thick.

Can anyone help me out with any experience or views on the new Dozer or Gelert 10cm mat please?

Thanks

I have a Dozr and it's the best bit of kit I've bought in a long while........it was on special offer November last year.

I'm a big bloke 19st and find it very comfortable.

I'd recommend it, it takes about 15-20mins left on its own to inflate then blow into it to get the desired firmness you like.
