Please remember that sound from your TV will travel a VERY long way on a campsite, especially at night, so it might be wise to invest in some wireless headphones too.

Quite!!  When you have been on these forums a few years the whole TV debate does get a bit tiresome - not getting at anyone in particular but ......

Away from the aerial and pole we always used the Maplin one for all and its pretty good if theres a signal to be had it normally will get it - there was only one time we couldn't get a good signal and that was because we were pretty close to a pilon.

We use an ordinary high gain aerial, it folds down flat and more importantly doesn't need to be powered.   Most of the smaller caravan aerials need power which can be an issue if you have limited sockets (or in our case when we power off a leisure battery and small solar panel).

Hi Piglet, I have spent ages researching a suitable aerial for our 'van and have just seen your post - please could you let me have more details of your aerial, as the ability to fold it down flat would be really useful for us!
