We got got both the Tent/Kit and Trailer on separate policies through the C&CC "Club Care Insurance Services", at around £50 a pop, I am not convinced that the cover is worthwhile, as in the event of loss they only replace at market value, the reason I took the insurance was because I bought my tent and kit all brand new at about half advertised market value at the time, so my theory was that if it became a loss, I would at least get back almost what I had paid for the Tent and Kit, similiar tale with my trailer got that new for around 30% below advertised market price, but that was two years ago, so I doubt I will bother insuring for this next season, as the now market value will be well low, they may even say a 3 year old tent is worth nowt, who can say.
If they were to insure for a fixed monetry value, then fine, but they don't, like all insurance they are out to pull your pants down, in the event of a claim.
Strange thing is though I noticed on my European Car insurance, that it also included the tent replacement should mine become a loss, but again the devil would be in the detail, and I doubt they would replace like for like.
As for the C&CC "Club Care Insurance Services" that is run by "Vantage Insurance Services Limited" VISL being a member of the C&CC gets you around 10% discount, I am sure they deal with none members and can be contacted on 01277 243000
Hope that helps.
