Thx for reply.  I have a van so space is no object.  have a pensioner mother though that likes to savge and not waste money.  since there are only 2 of us camping then we dont need a pup tent but it would be nice to have 1 for meal times.  Think I will buy 2mor;

Jealous.  Just been looking at these and can't get to the shop and not on line.

Never mind.

Enjoy

Hi Savanne

I'm not near decathlon, but when i bought the inner about a month ago I bought a spare grey base seconds (with the idea of camping in one and using the other as extension)

If you really want one, I'm not likely to use it to be honest so if you want to buy it I can bring it to IOW, unless you want it before? (I paid £49.95 didn't get it for £24.99 though!)

ooohhhh Val, that would be great. I'll have to run it by the OH (he has a pop up aversion lol) but if someone shows him how to pack it away he'll be happy. Want one for the IOW so that would be perfect. Seeing yours at Pillaton its definetly the way to go. Whats the pack size like?

We've decided to stick with canvas tents only (except kitchen tent) so bringing the Barbados to IOW plus the lovely cotton tarp we bought off jimjam(Karsten dealer at Pillaton). Going to sell the Nevada M and extension in April/May as despite it having more space than the Barbados I cant bring myself to use it as love canvas so much more.

Happy to show him how to pack it! (not hard honest)

Pack size is here ( Flat disc that is 85cm in diameter and 10 cm thick)

http://tente.quechua.com/en/tent/r-9,a-31,sejour-base-seconds.html

Big round circle but pretty thin!

Let me know before May anyway, no problem for me to throw in top of the trailer and I'm happy to keep it if you don't need it! (wahhhhh not like losing another tent)

If you do want it bring a 5m square piece of tarp as a groundsheet (there is a proper groundsheet if you can find one on ebay etc think it sells for £9.95?) or your kitchen stuff gets muddy on the bottom!

(thinking about it now, not sure if i picked up a spare groundsheet as well, will check at home )

yes sell all them horrid poly tents!

YAY!!! I got one!!

Drove to Decathelon in Reading yesterday.  After trying to convince the Manager that they should be cheaper than the £49.99 that they were charging (she wasn't having any of it!), went to pay for it and it came up at £39.99!!  I was very pleased to say the least!

Also bought micro towels which are on offer £9 each or two for £15!  Hope they are good as never used them before.

Ali
