How about using one or a couple of these to add an extra guyrope if that would help (they don't damage or pierce the fabric):
http://www.shelter-systems.com/grip-clips.html (I found a UK supplier of them last time I got some, possibly via eBay, but they are not expensive in terms of postage anyway).
If you need it held up as well as away, use one of these and guy via the top of a walking pole inclined into the wind.
Anyway - just an option.
