Can I get a camping fridge anywhere? I have 2 12v coolboxes and they are ok, but, I could do with something a bit better for keeping meat etc for bbq's.

I know that it's probably not what you're expecting but we have an Igloo Maxcold - no need for EHU - it's great for keeping contents ice cold - we have none of the problems that we had with our 12v

One of the best bits of kit we ever got, was the Waeco CF25 fridge, it's a portable compressor type, works perfectly keeping everything chilled, even when the temps are at +40Deg C when we were in the Southern Ardeche last July.

The table top ones are perfect. Got some bargain ones on ebay, I'm not fussed if it's new or used to be honest.

Table top type might be ok, but for versatility you can't beat a good 3-way. You can run it on 12v whilst traveling so keeping all your frozens frozen, then have a choice of EHU or gas when you get their, great not haveing to rely on sites with ehu much more freedom of choice. and I am sure that 3-ways are a lot more tilt tollerent than household types.
We use ours lots for other things, great beer chiller for BBQ at home, but on full blast will freeze beer if there is not a good through put (not somthing that happens often at our doo's)

3-ways are not tilt tolerant. They require levelling as they require gravity to operate some of the flow mechanisms. They also tend to struggle to operate whilst being vibrated.
