We bought a tent last Autumn and have been gradually buying the bits we need for camping trips since then...we're pretty much the same family set up as you except our LO is 4!
So far we've got -
tent
tent porch (to use as a kitchen area)
standard low up bed (for hubby)
double height air bed for me (I don't like sleeping so close to the ground!)
Ready bed for LO
Assortment of lights - plug in, wind up, rechargeable, gas, UFO
a kitchen stand (we bought the Kampa Colonel one, it looks really good but we haven't tested it out as yet)

We were given a camping stove, it's a basic 2 burner one with grill
We got a pan set and kettle as a Christmas gift, I've also bought a non stick frying pan and all sorts of kitchen utensils...
sleeping bags - hubby's got a mummy style one, I've got a gelert xl pod as I feel claustrophobic in mummy style bags, we'll also take a couple of fleecy blankets, and some fitted fleecy mattress covers and if I can find some, some foil backed picnic rugs to go under the air beds
tables - we were given a small folding one, and we've bought 2 larger folding ones, 1 for in the kitchen area and the other for inside the tent to sit round
fridge - we've bought an igloo passive coolbox (today!)
We're not bothering with clothes storage, as there's only so much the car will take, we'll have a spare sleeping pod, so we'll use that as storage area - both for clean and dirty clothes, and packing stuff
We haven't got a heater as yet, we'll need something though as we're going camping over Easter, I don't know whether to go for an electric one (I've heard these can trip the EHU?) or a butane one, we saw one for £25 in Winnfields so we might get one of those.
We haven't got an EHU yet, that's next on my list, the only other thing we really need is chairs, I like these, they're really comfy, I tried one in Winnfields

I know you can get cheaper ones, but if you're going to be sat in them for 7-10 days or longer, they need to be comfy!
LO has got a small folding chair which we bought from Wilkos for a fiver, he loves it!
I can't think of anything else...the garage seems to be full of stuff though, how it will fit in the car remains to be seen lol
------------- Bev :o)
2013
March - Pooley Bridge (Pod booked!)
May - Spiers House, Pickering
June - La Garangeoire, Vendee, France
Aug - The Cotswolds?

hi all,
i bought a fridge 20 litre from argos last year which i'm still very happy with, its like a mini version as a normal one with a shelf and a door compartment and a handle on top to carry.. its has two leads one for in the car and the other with a three pin plug..it has a very quiet motor which is ideal in a tent and it can run all the time no need to switch it off not like some i was looking at. My friend whos a camper bought the same one and she likes hers....
