We have had the Kampa since last year (bought it when daughter turned 4) and its been fab, my daughter is very tall for her age though and we are thinking of giving her our airbed this year (we are getting a new raised one).
The Kampa was great though and daughter loved sleeping in it, think shes going to miss it when she does get too tall for it
I think you can prob start using one of these from about 18 months - if not before? My friends little boy stayed the night at our house once and he slept on my daughters kampa airbed and he was only 15 months old at the time.
As for a sheet, we just used a fleece blanket, which made it slghtly warmer for her aswell.
