Went to Poundland yesterday and they are selling lanterns and frying pans with detachable handles for, well erm £1. The lanterns take 4 AA batteries and seem to be quite bright. Not sure how long they will last but if you are on a site with EHU just take some re chargeable batteries!

If they are similar to the packs of 2 off ebay we got that take 4AA's they last a good while, last yrs batteries still in mine and they did a blackout over winter one night.

Best thing I ever got from poundland is a pop up garden bin which ties up into a flat circle and I use it with a bin liner for my bin outside my tent

I have recently had a bell tent as a very early birthday present (september) and am gathering bits and bobs for it. My hubby went to Poundworld and bought me two mini hurricane lanterns with tealights which are cheap but cheerful.

Those battery operated lanterns are really good. I've used the same 3 for the last 3 seasons - and only changed the batteries once.

The frying pans arent that great though. Might be good as a poaching pan though.
