I bought one of the suitcase stoves as a backup last year and the gas feed was just pushed in, fell out and leaked profusely. Others have had ignition! mine went back the next day. Like KK above, when it comes to gas I'm wary but their other bits and bobs are grand cheapies.
------------- You can't beat loitering within tent :-)
Well, had a wonder round my local store on Thurs (Milton Keynes) and picked up one of those battery operated electric fly swatters that have been mentioned on here before. Also picked up some solar lights.
No much in my store though but they did have a good selection of outdoor lights.
Me and my sister bought one of the double burner gas stoves the other week but havnt tried them yet. Hope they dont have any leaks though yikkkkes. We paid £24.99 each from B&M . The day before we had been to go outdoors and they look identical to the Gelert one.

Hiya mkwolf, did you see if they had any picnic blankets in the mk store?
went round mine in milton keynes yesterday and bought a load of stuff ranging from hotwater bottle to camping supplies for my treck to brook meadows this coming weekend. Really please cost under £20 so no hiding things from Hubby lol
yes they did have picnic blankets as did pound stretcher westcroft
Just a word about the Stoves... for an extra £2 you can get a similar suitcase stove from Go Outdoors... I haven't actually tried mine out yet - but from the reviews they sound a lot better.
------------- April Bank Holiday - Woodlands Grove Leisure Park, Dartmouth.
I purchased two of the picnic blankets today in B&M along with a multi-tool for £5.99 (really heavy duty and similar to one in Go Outdoors for £35.) Also picked up the Knife, fork, spoon set (the ones that attach) for 99p each. I also got one of the gas stoves for £7.99 and tried it at home, it works great with no leaks thank goodness. There is loads of good camping stuff here. I also picked up a pack of 30 puppy pee/poo pads for a fiver, which is great since i'm still house training my youngest.
Then headed straight next door to Go Outdoors and got camping pots and the like for our first camping trip. Woohoo! Soooooo excited. The tent should arrive later this week and our first trip should be the end of April.
Can't wait.
2 weekends ago I bought 50 multi coloured solar lights to decorate the outside of our tent. Used them this weekend for the first time and very pleased with them. Had lots of comments on them and they were only £5.99. Wish I had bought more now, but nearest B&M to us is Wales plus a £5.50 toll!

Great shop B+M. My son, when just learning to read, mis-read it as BuM bargains, so that's what it stayed in my house! No reflection on their stuff though, great for the basics that you wouldn't want to spend a fortune on.
