Has anyone used Go Outdoors' reserve online and pick up in store service? I know that they aren't exactly known for service and I would usually shop elsewhere but I need a Maritsa 500 footprint and GO are the cheapest I've found (using a friends discount card!).
We went over there last night after work but there were none on the shelf (plenty of 700s, but no 500s) and the staff said that they didn't have any in stock. When I checked online (yesterday afternoon and when we got home later) the website said that yes the Basingstoke store did have them in stock, and they are available to reserve and pick up.
So, what's likely to happen if I reserve one online and make another trip over there - am I likely to have a wasted journey?
hiyas, maybe try phoning that store & say that its showing they are instock online ...but could they please check before you travel over there ? May save you a journey. Good luck hope you get what you want .
I have used it. I used it successfully for a stove and then I reserved some Craghopper fleeces last week but within minutes of reserving they rang me and said they didn't have the particular colour in my size but they had others that weren't listed on the website that she could put by for me to look at.
IMO the stock check can't be trusted 100% but I find them really helpful on the phone. They'll go and look for you and hold one for you if you ring
