Hello folks

Anybody have any thoughts on this way of lighting up the inside of tent. Thinking of running a 3mtr length across the top of the tent. Been told LED's stay cool so don't see a fire risk.

They do stay cool.

Another alternative is to use a "UFO" LED light which is what we use. The more LEDs the brighter the light and batteries last a long time

Cheers arsenaldes. I have used UFO'S for my smaller 2 man, but not sure about it they are powerful enough for the bigger Zenobia..

Hi Gannet
We bought the 60 LED UFOs off ebay to use in our Outwell Vermont L, 1 in the living area and one in the Awning and you can read with them at night so they are very bright and are switchable between 20, 40 and 60 LEDs, I wouldnt go any less the 60 in a big tent. We only paid a couple of quid for them off Ebay.

Good luck setting up your string of lights

Thanks everybody for commenting.... think I'm going to go for the 60 LED UFO's, cheap, mobile, and battery operated giving them more flexability.

Thanks alpiner, I've just bought 3 UFO's mainly because they can be moved about the tent. But I also find the white LED's harsh on the eye's. Might invest in a single light with a warmer colour just as an ambient light.
