Had a drive across to Sheffield yesterday to Towsure. WOW what an amazing store. I was like a kid in a sweet shop. Bought a few essentials and quite a lot of items "for the sake of buying" as the good wife kept reminding me!!!

Oh well, you can never have enough gear, can you?

Been there loads of times and the MIL rang me yesterday for directions as they are going next week to look for a porch awning,told her to put some blinkers on and head straight for the awnings or she will not get FIL out without his arms full of stuff he might just need..

15 minutes drive from our house.We go quite a lot and don't forget show your C&C Club membership cards for 5% discount(not much I know,but it all helps)

They had a terrible time after the Sheffield floods in 2007.The river Don is just behind the store and when the river burst its banks the water was waist high inside.It was shut for quite a long time.

Personally I find the store overpriced but that's probably just me and my Yorkshire blood!

I love it. I always come away with loads of stuff. There are always some bargains to be had. Some things are a bit OTT pricewise but it's a great store and the staff are lovely. A shame they've closed the coffee bar though. I used to love a cuppa and a blueberry muffin there.

Off there tomorrow, absolutely love it! Not so keen on the sheff go outdoors as it's quite cramped if I remember rightly.

We drive from Wakefield to the Sheffield Towsure rather than go to our local Go Outdoors. We don't find it overpriced, the range of products is fantastic and the staff are knowledgeable. Must admit that I like Camperlands in Manchester as well.

yep, we are in Sheffield and have to drive past Go Outdoors to get to Towsure. Competition is (nearly) always good for the consumer

Pricewise I think they are ok and they dont do the gimmicks the some retailers are so fond of. Some of the quality isnt so great but I think that is products today not just Towsure - eg we currently need egg carrier that didnt look like it came out a christmas cracker, some heavy duty waterproof picnic blankets and a strong (non wobbling) table you can leave out in a shower. Not finding things like that anywhere this year

At Towsure yesterday with a big list of about a dozen bits we need, but stock seemed to be a bit thin (unless you have to ask staff for stuff, I always assume what is out is the lot) Needed 50m reel of guyline they only had blue or short amounts, needed one of two sizes of ground sheet, they had neither. Bought some gas and 20m of guyline just in case
