We've used one for a couple of years now with no problems.
As has already been mentioned,if on a low ampage site,you do sometimes have to juggle/manage which ring you have on..but they do hold their heat very well..so ,it's not as if the "unpowered" ring goes cold).
You do need to be careful what you sit them on,as they do throw a lot of downward heat.
