We are new to camping and are planning only our second trip for May. The First time we went we got cold during the evening so was wondering what you thoughts are on using a small gas heater for warming the tent prior to bedtime and whether it actually makes much of a difference. I have seen a cheap heater in B & M bargains im thinking of buying.
Ive also bought camp beds instead of air beds and plenty of blankets but am still worried about the cold. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
As for searching on a subject...ive been trying for the last half hour and and it just keeps telling me its too busy ....sometimes its just quicker to ask the question

hi all,

Yes, the gas heaters with the ceramic plate will take the chill out of the tent, unless it is huge. Just remember that is all that they are for, only to be used when you are sitting in the living area and not reasonably sober. No kids/dogs running around etc. Never leave it on when you go to bed/not around etc.
Decent sleeping bags are a must, the cheap ones are only good for the warm summer nights. You can always take a duvet, wear a long sleeved teeshirt/sweatshirt during the night and for the real softies, a hot water bottle.
