My wife and I use Camping Gaz/Coleman (from Tesco) airbed singles side by side.
We did have a double, but the interaction from one side to the other was too much.
Kind regards James
------------- In the beginning there was darkness.
Then I bought a tent.
I'm not destitute, I'm just poor.
Well after camping for 3years with just a double airbed and OH finding it harder and harder to get out of bed in the morning we have just brought 2 single campbeds and are putting the airbed on top. we have tried it out and it seems fine, also gives you a bit of room underneath for shoes etc!
Hi
I had airbeds and decided to try campbeds instead and to be honest they were the most uncomfortable thing I had ever slept on, so I then bought a SIM to go on top to act as a matress. I have now bought a bedchair as used by fishermen and that I find pretty comfortable.
------------- Experience enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
We have both, airbeds for the weekend tent, campbeds for the big tent.
I find them both very comfortable although I think the campbeds keep you slightly warmer because you are off the ground.
We have never spent much on airbeds just use cheap ones and the campbeds we use are the metal framed ones from Argos. Bear in mind that for campbeds you need a lot of height in your tent and they are large and bulky to carry and store.

Duffs54 idea of 2 campbeds and airbed on top is clever but would require a lot of height in your tent so it depends how much space you have.
Hi camperlands, yep your right in our gelert stratus 4 we would have to stick to airbeds only. But we have a new tent for this year a biscaya 440 so we are lucky enough to have the room.
The campbeds we have are kampa and they fold up into a bag just like chairs do.
