I am going camping at the end of April and after many years of sleeping on cheap inflatable mattresses have decided to spend some money and invest in a decent one so that I can get the best sleep possible. I don't tend to sleep well when camping so want to try and make it as comfy as possible.

I had been looking at the Aerobed Active Dual Zone as this seems to be more of a premium mattress. Also me and my other half tend to fidget a lot in the night so the dual compartments will help with that. However I have read mixed things about these beds and have read that the Coleman dual chamber double is also a very good mattress albeit a lot cheaper.

To be honest I'm not bothered about the price because I have scrimped over the years and am ready to pay what I need to have a good nights sleep but I really want to know whether it is worth me paying more for the Aerobed than the Coleman or whether it's just wasted money. The Aerobed comes in at around £99 whereas the Coleman is around £30.

As mentioned the main focus is comfort but can anyone who has experienced either of these airbeds advise as to which is the best, taking price out of the equation.
I am going to purchase online in the next week so any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Aerobed: Aerobed

Our old Coleman Comforts (2009 models) are fine but I've read reports on here that the newer ones aren't as reliable.

We have the older Coleman Comfort double and so far, after 3 years of use camping and as a guest mattress at home, we have not had any problems at all. I find it extemely comfortable and the problem of being bounced about like a pea on a drum when your partner wriggles about at night, is not a problem at all !!

My only one problem with it, is that it is not a double height mattress. I would have really liked to be higher up off the floor. This is not a comfort reason ( the coleman is very very comfy ), just a personal preference. Our next air bed will be a double height one.
