 So am i right in thinking these hurricane lamps will burn citronella oil?

   If this is the case then many thanks, Im off to get a couple for outside the tent.

                  where do you get the oil from? lol.

We have 2 hurricane lamps - great bit of kit for outsdie the tent in the evenings.

Our citronella oil and lamps came from Towsure.

I've got some Citronella oil already for some burners we have so i'll give it a go in the hurricane lamp then . I've not been able to get hold of any paraffin oil yet, everywhere i've tried said they don't get it in until they start stocking the summer stuff

Have you tried B&Q, the ones near me have it all year round. Seem to have it mostly in the winter.
