I'm not all that sure how the thing goes together but I take the paella pan, difuser (I think you need it if you want to set the cadac up as an oven) and the lid.
I don't take the scotel, griddle or barbecue and I can't remember if I take the drip tray. If I do, it's only if it's needed for an oven.

Brilliant idea putting some water in the drip tray (moat!)
Anyone got a Carri Chef Delux? Can you answer these question please?
I unpacked it straight away to try it out without making a mental note of what bags went where & how it packed up.
Just unassembled it to re-pack to go camping.
Should there be a bag for the non stick reversable grill tray?
How do you pack it all up in the bag/s?
Its blooming heavy! Do most of you take all the bits - all the time?
We take all of our bits with us. All the bags should have the name of the item it contains written on it, well our's have anyway.
Thanks asdj45....I have been wondering about how to get round those odd meals where you do need to use a pan to cook rice or pasta or heat through stuff...like your idea of tin foil, but also wondered if when using one of the flaat surfaces, whether a small pan would sit on the surface alongside the chicken or fish etc that is cooking.....would the surface get hot enough to heat up the saucepan?? or heat the kettle for the coffee to go with the mornings fry up??
Trying to find the one stop soultion for families cooking needs...................

P.s we are not 1sttimefamilycampers anymore! 3yrs in and loving it!!
Tried out the scottel for the first time last night to cook stir fry veg with chicken.
It cooked very fast & very well BUT it was a nightmare trying to clean the scottel.
Any tips? I hate the look of those non stick liners. Why isnt it non stick like the reversable grill?

Once done with the scottel, just add a little water and a dash of fairy and heat it up. It is now a doddle to clean.

The scottel liners work very well, so easy to use and wipe clean.
