take the 4 metal pyramid thingy's off and just lie the bread flat on the base...made a delicious beans on toast with mine this week!!!

I can report that it does the toast just fine. Not tried the other two types mentioned but this works. quick too.

Cut 2 inch hole in middle, cover hole with fine mesh.
