Hi all, very excited as the camping season is here!!

1)  We have got along with an Outwell 24L fridge and a Coleman 36qt extreme but now wish to upgrade to a quieter absorption fridge and keep the Coleman (excellent).  We have seen the Quest Tristar which seems quite large at 45L but wonder if their are better for around the same price.  We spend 3 weeks in the summer in mid France so expect high temps.

2)Where do you keep your fridges (electric) as we want to keep ours in the extension of our Montana 6 but dont know how safe running electic into their would be.  Any advise would be greatly received.

the dometic ones are cheaper and you can buy spares for the future as well.
we run a 2 way extension with caps that close over the plugs making them more water resistant.
we bought ours for £4 but theres similar here

Thanks for quick response.  Just looked at dometic combicool 1700 for around £180 and think this looks quite good.  Gonna look at the power sockets with caps now.  Am I right in thinking the rcd would trip on our supply if the sockets got damp anyway?

We use a Waeco CF25, and it keeps everything well chilled, even when the temps are +40Deg C down in the South of France during July, probably overkill for the UK summer though.

Francais, I would love to see the rest of your setup!  We looked at a tent like yours - loved it!  We saw a Waeco in Towsure which was over £500 and The wife said "who would spend that much on a fridge?"  I would but can't!  Forgot to mention that I only have up to £200 pocket money.
