Hi we have a new kalahari 10 too, we will be 'road'testing it royal wedding weekend. We had a large 8 berth last year but updated end of last season and we will be taking our 2KW gas cannister heater, Got from ebay. Most are 1kw but if you get 2kw (few pound more but worth it) they are more effiecient- cannisters we used lasted 4 and half hours instead of the stated 2 1/2 and that was never on full for very long as heats tent up quickly. We also are going ehu so will take a small electric heater as back up.Let us know how you get on with putting up the kalahari and any tips!

Just my opinion but I would never use a gas heater in a tent, there is a very real fire risk and more deadly as you can't see them is the chance of carbon monoxide poisoning from fumes.

I have a halogen heater which kept me warm last month.  It also gives off a reassuring orange glow, which was very nice and it also has a trip switch in case it gets knocked over.  For overnight though I would think the oil filled radiator would be the best option

we have the Kalahari 10 and we use a oscillating fan heater (2 sometimes on half setting),  ours is the delonghi and cost us about £30, but aldi had a oscillating one on clearance for £8!  last week, i love the fact it just pushes the hot air around the whole tent, we leave the pod doors open! my sister has a horizon 8 and uses a halogen, but i couldn't sleep with the sun lit up next to us, and it doesn't  move the air at all, we camp april till oct and have always been warm with our osc fan heater.

i wouldn't use gas either as i have little ones.
