and I bought a couple of shiny hurricane lanterns for when we get our new tent.  I had fun trying to suss out how to get the instructions out of the glass globe lol.  Anyway I had a play and I love how they look, will look great hanging from the shepherds hooks that I also bought from B&Q.

Don't you just love camping bargains at boot sales?

We bought a quecha base 3 for less than a tenner last year and have had great fun in the garden today with it.

Visited my first one of the year on thursday. I now have a small cast iron griddle to use on top of the BBQ or stove. Cost £1  sadly no other camping stuff there.

Hi, what oil do you use? I bought some lamp oil for mine but the smoke coming off is really think and black.

Paraffin from the garden centre is better refined for use in green houses. Don't be tempted to turn the wick up too far to get a better light, this will cause smoke.
