Anyone got these? are they any good? Basically, after last week's trip, we have decided we need more space to transport our ever-growing camping equipment. We literally crammed everthing into our Mazda6 hatchback last week, they're wasn't room for so much as a matchstick - every little nook and cranny had something stuffed into it!! A new car such as an estate would be the obvious solution but it's not an option at the moment. We've had a look at trailers but again out of our price range as I'd also have to pay for a tow bar to be installed as well. So we've been lookiing and roof bars and roof boxes. However, I'm not too chuffed with the idea of having a roof bar fitted, plus this option is also a tad on the pricey side and would eat into my camping budget more than I would like So we are toying with the idea of the handirack and handiholdall. Anyone have one and would you recommend? There is an ebay seller selling them new, box, £119 for both with free delivery, which is the best price I've seen.

Several threads about these in the past if you search. They are a bit like Marmite, I think! We have them and like them. My only quibble is that the holdall isn't waterproof/resistant, though it doesn't claim to be TBH. In torrential rain, we have also had a problem with water getting in where the straps come through the doors. Only use it for bulky but light stuff and wrap everything in bin liners now, just in case!

I know you would prefer the soft roof bag but have you seen these? Just a little more but water proof and a lot more stable on the roof.
