Personally i would not stick anything to the tent fabric. The sticky adhesive could affect the material. It might not but i dont think it would be worth the risk.

You could trial one in a bedroom pod?

Bedroom pod is different material to the flysheet though so would not really prove anything appart from the sticky velcro sticks

Do you have lantern hanging points in your tent? We used small karabiner (sp?) hooks to hang UFOs from the hanging points in ours....would this work for you?

If the ufo's are metal...how about a magnet on the other side of the tent material?
...or stick the ufo's to a metal disc with velcro then use a magnet

They do have some small built in magnets on the UFO's, but i'm not sure if I could get a metal disk/magnet on the top of the outside roof of the tent to stick them to ! Don't think I am tall enough, and the magnets don't seem very strong ! Nice suggestion though, Might see what I can find when I am there......Ah, fridge magnets might do the trick.........
I am off tonight when I get home from work, so not much time to think about it too much ! Maybe I can stick the sticky velcro circles to the tension straps instead of the tent material, rather than trying to remember to pack needle, thread and ribbon. I already have a list as long as my arm that I have forgotten to pack that I need to find room for when I get home !
Wish I was finished work already. Can't wait to get on the road ! I want to put my new tent up !!!!!!!!

How about (if the ufo's have magnets attached) putting them back to back on the front of the bed pod so one shines into the living area and one shines into the bed pod...
...God, I'm brainy today

I don't think that would work, the magnets would just repel each other.
Whoops, quick edit....unless you meant with a metal disc between

Ooohhhh, Bob, I like your style ! You are giving me ideas now. I'm now thinking, armed with my velcro, or a fridge magnet if the velcro doesnt stick to the fabric properly, I could stick one to the storage pockets that run down the front middle of the outside of the bed pods, and, as I have an extension on the front, (if the pitch is big enough) I could also easily stick one to the top of the inside of the door with a fridge magnet ! Oh, oh, and I could reverse that one if I need light in my extension if I want to make a late-night cuppa (cooking stuff all going in extension)
Don't really want one inside the bed pod, as someone will have to get up to turn it off. Wind-up torches will suffice !
Ohh, hope the fridge magnets don't repel the UFO magnets !

I wouldnt do it. We tried it with sticky velcro in our canopy last year and as soon as the tent warmed up the pads came unstuck, this wasnt a one off as it did it every day
