Hi all,

Only 3 weeks until we go camping in our new Coleman Mackenzie cabin 6 - until now its only been up in the garden!

We have seen on websites and the coleman broucher that there is a canopy and we'd like to know if it worth buying.

We are thinking that it maybe good for cooking under but wondered if anyone has any experiance of the canopy before we shell out £80.

Thanks.

We have one and we love it!

Firstly it provides a great deal of extra space, but secondly it gives us the feeling of extra privacy.  We like to spend nice warm days with the doors open and with the doors being so big it does feel a little too open if you are on a busy site, but with the extension on, it does restrict the view in! Also as you can see from the picture, we always pitch the door up as an extra extension, which is great cover in bright sunshine and when its raining.

Well worth the £80 in our opinion.......

Rob

Ooh Rob, that looks great! Thanks for including the photo - until now we'd only seen a small picture of the canopy but seeing yours I think we'll have to buy one! It looks a lot bigger than we thought too - I feel the credit card twitching!

Thanks again

Just a quick question for bigrob73,

Just been talking to a friend regarding tent pitch sizes which he said anything over 6 metres requires a double pitch.

Have you had any trouble on a normal pitch or our you honest and get a double / extra larger pitch?

Thanks

We havent had a problem yet.  The main tent measures 6m x 3m approx so we are kind of on the edge.  When we add on the awning it add another 2 metres on so we are still only 6 x 5.  If width is tight, we also have the option of pitching end on.

Fingers crossed we wont have any issues in the future.
