I'm led to believe that Go Outdoors are opening a store in Warrington. Does anyone on the forum know where in Warrington the store will be ?

Not heard about that one. We usually end up travelling to Stockport as we felt the Wigan store was quite poor. Will ask around to see if anyone else has heard anything.

Just a thought, do the local council publish planning applications anywhere? Might give some clues maybe.

Hi Sarah. I agree with you about the Stockport & Wigan stores. The only reason I know they are opening a store in Warrington is that they are advertising for staff on various job websites.
I thought maybe they could be opening up the new store in the old MFI in Warrington

My mum works in recruitment and has told me that Go Outdoors are confirmed to be opening in Warrington as they are in the process of advertising for staff. They are going to be in the old MFI store, which I believe is near to Bank Quay train station.

Just rang my mum and apparently they are aiming to open around the end of this month!!!! They have not started to refurbish the store yet though, but should be open in the next 6 weeks. Yay!!
