Help and advice needed, please! My wee 10 litre coolbox suffered terminal damage courtesy of a flying rock this Saturday and I need to find a replacement pretty quickly. The one I had - now some 10 years ago, some very upset about it's loss! (sad, I know) was 17" long, 11" wide and 10" deep. Whilst I could go a bit higher, as it has to sit behind the driver's seat in the rear footwell, it can't be wider than 12". Sorry, that's 43 x 28 x 25.5cms! Oh, and ideally would like lid to act as a tray! I only need it for w/ends to keep milk, spread, bacon and cold meats cold and it's been very good at that. I have got a wee fridge but that runs off the car battery and is a nuisance when the radio network is up and running ( 13 hours in operation last Saturday ) as the two really drain the battery quite quickly.
I've been trawling through various websites and haven't found (yet) anything like it and am horrified at the delivery charges as well! Found, through the shop section of this website, a coolbox costing £13.99 with delivery charges of £19.95! On yer bike!
So if any of you have seen something like this, would be very grateful for a heads-up and a store name - there might be a store near one of my friends so they could collect for me as I can't afford to pay silly delivery prices!
In the meantime, I have two spare cool bags, one of which will fit inside the other. If I put freezer blocks between the two bags and more freezer blocks inside with the milk and food, do you think that would survive from Friday lunchtime to Saturday night/Sunday morning?
Thanks, FJ
