Hi All,

There was a discussion a short while ago here about the Vango Adventure Tarp, thought I'd share this set up - this worked well for me over the weekend using the Vango Tarp to extend the porch of the Coleman Avior x3...

Brilliant combination and provides some excellent porch cover.

Thank you for posting this! How did you manage to get the top bit of the tarp so taut? Ours always seems to go 'saddle-shaped' when I try to attach it to one of our small tents (both Quechua), there's so much give in the elasticy bit.

Also, can anyone suggest how I could use the Adventure Tarp to provide rain cover for a Vango Beta 350 (tunnel, side-opening) tent?

Sorry for the late reply, just spotted this... Getting it taut is really just a matter of fiddling with it, it's different for every tent. With this set up I ran an extra long guy rope (two tied together actually) from the ringlet on the top of the porch down the back of the tent and pegged it in behind to give it some pull.

I was camping last weekend and found that putting two small guy ropes on the corners also gave it a wider space too... if you want some inspiration on the Adventure Tarp check out these photos from my latest trip, you can see the difference in the ones with guyed out corners. My friend and I both had one, the green one is as above on my Coleman, I believe my friend had a Vango Spirit 200, or something very much like it.

Not sure how it would go on a side entrance, but take plenty of spare guy ropes that you don't mind cutting and knotting to experiment with, they're super versatile.
