Does anyone have it? Is it quiet when running off electric? Its £49.99 at World of Camping and I'm tempted! Kicking myself though that I missed out on the Lidl one!

Keep and eye on Lidl, the coolboxes do come back in stock from time to time.

I have the outwell - lime gree one.  I have yet to use it camping but trying it out at home it appears to be quiet enough, mind you maybe more noise going on in the house?!!  I have yet to test it for effectiveness so unable to help in that dept. I am afraid.

We also have the lime green Outwell. We got it last year to replace a Lidl one which had become very noisy after only a couple of trips.

The Outwell started off much quieter than the Lidl and, thankfully, has stayed that way. It's also much higher quality and will run directly from mains or from 12v (two leads supplied).

Mine was perfect for about 2 years but has become unreliable, and now not cooling. It was fairly quiet although used to put it outside the tent at night. They need to be switched off every 48 hours (overnight was fine and did remain cool).

So looking for a replacement as I too missed the Lidl offer!

Why do they need to be switched off every 48 hours

I think it must be to 'rest' the fan. However, the instructions for ours says they only need to be off for 2 hours, so I usually do it first thing in the morning every other day. No big problem.
